screenwriter/ story editor
i am a story editor;
let me know if you want me to be your story editor.
how am I qualified?

I have a certificate in writing for film and tv - I'm familiar with 1 hour drama, half-hour comedy and the feature film format;
I've been a script reader for Austin Film Festival for the past two years. I have read and evaluated more than 150 scripts to date;

I write a substack called what's the story -- dedicated to screenwriting theory and how it relates to life.

how I approach story editing:

I want to help you (the writer) find the best way that serves the story you want to tell. I propose a zoom call/ meet-up where we talk movies & ideas. Then, I get back to you with tailor-made notes/suggestions.
I bring experience through my extensive movie-watching that began in 2016 when I enrolled in university to study film. Even though I soon realised that academia was not where I belonged, I was exposed to more genres, types and movements of cinema than I knew existed.

Later, I read Story (Robert McKee) and The Anatomy of Story (John Truby) and discovered my unusual attraction for the screenwriting craft - the only type of science I could ever get behind.
If you're looking for a second pair of eyes, shoot me a message or an email, I would love to chat.
